TL;DR

Four new paid leaves will be introduced in Colombia starting January 2026.
Leaves will cover medical appointments (including for endometriosis), educational obligations for children, judicial/administrative appearances, and a semiannual leave for bicycle commuters.
The reform also includes progressive increases in Sunday and holiday surcharges, reaching 100% by 2027.
The standard workweek will be reduced to 42 hours.
Night shifts will now begin at 7:00 p.m. and end at 6:00 a.m.
Other changes involve formalizing labor contracts for apprentices and expanding social security for digital platform workers.
