La Dirección Nacional de Inteligencia (DNI) y la Unidad de Inteligencia y Análisis Financiero (Uiaf), diseñadas con el propósito de desarrollar inteligencia estratégica y contrainteligencia para el Estado, y contrarrestar amenazas internas y externas mediante la producción de análisis que apoyen la toma de decisiones del presidente y el Alto Gobierno, la primera, y tener acceso a todas las operaciones financieras para proteger al país de amenazas internas y externas, identificar los recursos de la corrupción y del lavado de activos, la segunda, merecen un especial seguimiento.
