Nighttime work hours are redefined from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. starting December 25, 2025.
The hourly rate for nighttime work on weekdays increases to $8,355 from $6,189.
This increase represents a 35% surcharge on the ordinary hourly rate.
The change applies even when nighttime hours are part of the ordinary workday, not considered overtime.
Nighttime work on Sundays and holidays will also see an increased hourly rate, from $12,997 to $13,925.
Sectors like private security, health services, transport, and logistics will experience the most significant salary increases.
The reform is based on Law 2466 of 2025 and updates the Substantive Labor Code.
