- The drills, codenamed "Mission Justice 2025," focused on seven air and sea zones near Taiwan and included live-fire training.
- China stated the drills were a warning against "Taiwan independence" separatist forces and external interference, referencing the U.S. and Japan.
- The Chinese Coast Guard also announced "comprehensive law enforcement" patrols in waters near Taiwan and the Matsu and Wuqiu archipelagos.
- Simulated conflict scenarios included attacks on maritime and land targets, anti-submarine operations, and achieving regional air superiority.
- These drills cover a wider area than previous exercises, enabling Chinese forces to approach Taiwan from multiple directions.

- Taiwan detected 89 Chinese warplanes, 14 military vessels, and 14 coast guard ships operating around the island.
- Taiwanese President William Lai reaffirmed his commitment to strengthening Taiwan's defensive capabilities and increasing the cost of aggression.
- China warned that external forces using Taiwan to contain China and arming Taiwan would only embolden "Taiwanese independence" and lead to grave danger.
- China vowed a firm response to any "pernicious conduct" that crosses red lines regarding Taiwan.
